Language: Gurmukhi Source: Siri Guru Granth Sahib Author: Guru Ram Das
Translation:
Chant, Oh my mind, the True Name, Sat Nam, the True Name. The Lord is the Fullfiller of desires, the Giver of total peace; the Kaamdhaynaa, the mythical cow which fulfills all wishes, is in His power. So meditate on such a Lord, Oh my soul. Then, you shall obtain total peace, Oh my mind.
Chant, Oh my mind, the True Name, Sat Nam, the True Name. In this world, and in the world beyond, your face shall be radiant, by meditating continually on the immaculate Lord God. Wherever anyone remembers the Lord in meditation, disaster runs away from that place. By great good fortune, we meditate on the Lord. The Guru has blessed servant Nanak with this understanding, that by meditating on the Lord, we cross over the terrifying world-ocean.
JAP SAHIB
Jap Sahib - Sikh Morning Prayer
Jap Sahib is made up of 199 verses and is the first Bani of the Dasam Granth.
This prayer was composed by Guru Gobind Singh ji during the period 1682-1686, when he was residing at Paonta Sahib. It contains 199 stanzas about the praise and description of God. To bring grace, self-command and to inspire your greatness. This Bani brings royalty, divinity, ecstasy, bliss, bountifulness and beauty. It will increase your vitality, courage, power, strength and self-esteem. Recite when your dignity is threatened, to overcome fear and to arouse and increase your flow of spirit. Related to air element.
KAL AKAL
Kaal Akaal,
Siree Kaal,
Mahaa Akaal,
Akaal Moorat
NOTE: This mantra is spelled exactly, in accordance with KRI's International Kundalini Yoga, Teacher Training, Textbook, Level One, Instructor; Copyright 1969-2005.
NOTE: The following spelling is used in Gurdwara while bringing the Siri Guru Granth Sahib in and out, the Gurumantra--Wahe Guru--is added to it.
Kaal Akaal, Siree Kaal, Mahaa Akaal,
Akaal Moorat, Wha-hay Guroo
Translation: Kaal means death. Akaal means undying.
Akaal Moorat is our pattern that exists beyond death. Wahe Guru is the mantra of ecstasy. This mantra seals animosity, making it ineffective. This protective mantra wraps around animosity and seals it closed. It can remove the very shadow of death.
KAURI KRIYA
Saa Ray Gaa Maa Paa Daa Nee,
Saa Taa Naa Maa,
Raa Maa Daa Saa,
Saa Say So Hung
In the early days of 3HO (the Healthy Happy Holy Organization), Yogi Bhajan taught Kauri Kriya as a key Naad Yoga technique for raising the Kundalini and developing the chanting voice.
This powerful kriya can raise the consciousness from zero to Infinity in pretty quick order. Known as the Mahan Dhyaan, or supreme meditation, this kriya was given by Guru Arjan Dev in the late 1600's to train sacred musicians to bring forth a deeply transformative and healing sound current.Source of Information on Kauri Kriya.
DIRECTIONS: Sit up straight, with the hands in gyan mudra. Inhale deeply and in a single breath chant:
SA RE GA MA PA DHA NEE ( visualize energy moving up the spine) SA TA NA MA (visualize energy moving from neck up over the skull to third eye) RA MA DHA SA SA SE SO HUNG (extend the visualization out third eye and up to the infinity)
This mantra is chanted as in a normal major scale (DO, RE, MI, FA...) Begin with a low note to enable you to complete the nineteen components of this mantra. Inhale deeply and repeat. One cycle takes about 15 seconds. This Kriya may be practiced for any length of time, the longer the better.
Kauri Kriya is a first step towards raising your energy from the lower to the higher centers. It will take the apana (eliminative energy) into the prana (generative energy) region, balancing and aiding in properly channeling these energies. Eventually, prana and apana will both end up in Saraswati, the lotus of one-thousand petals. This will turn the chakra upside-down so the nectar will run out of it. "By virtue of the Nam the nectar starts dripping in me."
This Kriya will give rhythm and melody to all your utterances. Any prayer that is lacking in these two areas will be answered. SatKirin Kaur Khalsa

Mul Mantra by Amandeep Singh -
The Meditative Version, very powerful. Just listening to the Mantra will help you. I would find it hard to do this version. Amandeep Singh doing this is wonderful and powerful.
Translation:
There is one Creator who created this creation.
Truth is His name.
He is the Doer of everything. He is fearless and revenge less, the Image of the infinite, unborn, self illumined, complete in the self.
This is revealed by the True Guru's Grace. Meditate! This was true in the beginning.
This was true through all the ages. This is true even now. Oh Nanak it is forever true. Mul means root. This is the root mantra that begins
The Siri Guru Granth Saahib, the Sikh scriptures and is the most condensed essence of the entire teachings of this holy book. It acts as a compass towards God.
This complete mantra has everything in it. It is a technology, a description and a technique. It forms the basis of the consciousness that we wish to develop and that exists in our very soul. The entire Mul Mantra is the highest of all mantras, and it contains in it the root of sound that is the basis for all effective mantras.
