Why we celebrate and meditate together at the Full Moon.

On the full moon, the sun’s radiance is strongest – reflected both from the earth and from the moon to the earth. It is when we have access to greatest consciousness. With the moon’s alignment to the earth it, allows you to release, cleanse and completes cycles, patterns and recurring situations. It’s a time where you can reset your course.

From the new moon to the full moon there is a building up of energy. From the full moon to the new moon there is a winding down of energy.

Moon relates to ida, the feminine energy. Sun relates to pingala, the masculine energy, and the Sun and moon relates to sushmana. The full moon is the time of month when the energy of the Sun is most powerful as the greatest connection between sun and moon.

You are at your highest energy level.

It is noted that as we mirror the earth and that we are both 80% water, we are bound to be fueled by the pulse of the moon. Women have a monthly cycle to remind them of this ebb and flow.

The full moon adds power to prana when Pranayam is practiced properly. Get ready to experience something special for this full moon! Please eat lightly the day of the workshop and, of course, drink plenty of water. After the workshop, you may enjoy the light of the moon by chanting or sitting in silent contemplation. Let the radiance of the moon light your path.
