Power Mantras Power Kriyas Page 2

These are the Power Mantras and Power Kriyas that move a lot of 'junk' out of us. Rather than doing 'this and that mantra' use one of these and go faster. And, due to Mobilization this is page 2, of Power Mantras and Power Kriyas. The absolute minimum is 40 days before going to something else.

Gobinday Mukunday

Gobinday Mukunday is an excellent mantra for clearing the subconscious. It can heal deeply seated subconscious blocks, as well as balancing the hemispheres of the brain. Mantra practice is an excellent tool, because it gives your mind a positive rhythm and projection to focus on when the negativity of the subconscious starts to rise to the surface.

Chant Gobinday Mukunday for 11 minutes, or consider keeping a looped track playing softly as you sleep at night.

Sustainer, Liberator, Enlgihtener, Infinite, Destroyer, Creator, Nameless, Desireless "The most precious thing in the human body is the breath. A meditation which cannot bring normalcy and equilibrium to your breathing is useless, because the rate and length of the breathing willdetermine the rate of secretion of your glandular system, and that secretion will give you physical stability.

Physical stability will then give you mental stability, and mental stability will project the radiance of the spirit, the soul in you. And when the spirit becomes radiant and healthy, you will look spiritual." ~ Yogi Bhajan

Aap Sahaee Hoa

Aap Sahaaee Hoaa

Sachay Daa Sachaa Doaa

Har, Har, Har

According to Yogi Bhajan this mantra "...will

totally eliminate enemies and block the impact of animosity forever,

it can give you mental self-control..."

Yogi Bhajan also said that if chanted for 62 minutes, the best time being between three and four AM, it can relieve unbearable financial pressure.

It will give you protection and mental balance.

Dhrib Dhristi

The Bij Mantra, or seed mantra (Sa Ta Na Ma), helps join you with your destiny—the fulfilling life you are meant to live—and signifies the cycle of life.

As a result of mastering this meditation, you will become conscious in thought and action. Your words will have the power to penetrate deeply. Your words will inspire and always represent the truth of a given situation. It is said that you can master this meditation in several sittings if you practice with total devotion. It is also said that when practiced on the eve of the full moon, this meditation has an especially powerful effect.

Sit in easy pose with a straight spine. Rest your wrists on your knees with the palms facing up. Place your hands in Gyan Mudra—catch the tip of your index finger with your thumb and keep the middle, ring, and little fingers straight. Lock the edges of your front teeth together; you may need to move your lower jaw forward to align the upper and lower rows of teeth. Gently focus your eyes on the tip of your nose. Your tongue touches the upper palate in a relaxed way; it should happen automatically after approximately one minute of meditation.

Mentally project the mantra Sa Ta Na Ma (all "a's" are pronounced as the "a" in "father") out from your third eye. Concentrate on creating a powerful projection and internal harmony. The minimum time suggested for this meditation is 15 minutes, and you may build up to 31 minutes. (Then, to master this meditation, you can slowly build your time to 1½ hours at a sitting.) When you finish the meditation, relax, and send out blessings for peace.

Sa – totality, life

Ta – creation, birth

Na – death, transition

Ma – rebirth

Morning Call or Long Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wha He-Guru

"One meditation that I find keeps me very balanced is to chant 37-1/2 minutes of Long Ek Ong Kar (Morning Call).

Yogi Bhajan taught us that it takes 37-1/2 minutes to raise the Kundalini energy in the body until the aura vibrates and projects out into the universe.

Long Call or Ek Ong Kar Sat Nam Siri Wahe Guru

Seven Wave Sat Nam

This meditation works to clear the mind of painful thought patterns much as the ocean waves wash the shore. Vibrating the sound of Sat Nam in seven waves will lift your energy, clear your mind and open you to a renewed experience of life.

This is a bij (seed) mantra meditation.  Bij mantras such as Sat Naam are sounds which can totally rearrange the habit patterns.

We all have habit patterns—we could not function without them.  But sometimes the patterns we have created are not wanted.  You have changed, so you want the patterns to change.  By vibrating the sound current Sat Naam in this manner, you activate the energy of the mind that erases and establishes habits.

(Note: Yogi Bhajan gave me this mantra to manage my Grande Mal Seizures, without medication which worked for the last 44 years.)

Seven Wave Sat Nam

Ganpati Kriya

This meditation is said to redeem all negativity of the past and present, smooth out your day-to-day problems and create a positive tomorrow. It will change your luck and allow prosperity to flow.

Posture: Sit in Easy Pose, with a light neck lock.

Eyes: The eyes are 1/10th open. Concentrate at the Third Eye Point.

Mudra: Place the wrists over the knees, hands in Gyan Mudra, with the arms and elbows straight.

Mantra:

Saa-Taa-Naa-Maa

Raa-Maa-Daa-Saa

Saa-Say-So-Hung

Part I

Chant the mantra on a single breath, as you press the fingertips of each hand sequentially (thumb to fore finger, thumb to middle finger, thumb to ring finger, thumb to little finger) with each syllable. Use a monotone voice. Continue for 11 minutes.

Part II

Inhale deeply and hold the breath. Move the body in a slow twist and stretch motion. Move each muscle of the body. Move the head, torso, arms, back, belly and hands. Then exhale powerfully. Repeat this 5 times.

Part III

Immediately sit straight. Look at the Lotus Point, the tip of the nose. Become totally calm, absolutely still. Meditate for 3 minutes.

To End: Inhale and hold the breath for 30 seconds as you physically move and rotate your body as if it is going through spasms. Every muscle must be stretched, squeezed and turned around, from the muscles in your face, head and neck, down to your toes. Exhale. Repeat this 3 more times. Then inhale, sit calmly and concentrate on the tip of your nose for 20 seconds. Exhale, and relax.

Fire Kriya

Beginning in 2008, we entered a 5-year sequence, featuring the tattvas so that we could balance them as we entered the Aquarian Age together. This year we are exploring the Fire Tattva. The Fire Kriya shown below creates tapa (internal "heat") which purifies so that your energy is clear, your body fit, and your eyes bright. In the spring of 1978, Yogi Bhajan said that the Fire Kriya, "is a powerful, absolutely sacred, secret meditation. It will take you as far as you take it."

Posture: Sit straight in a meditative posture with neck lock.

Eyes: Eyes are closed except for small slit to let in some light (99% closed).

Mudra:Reverse Finger Lock—interlace the fingers so that both the fingers and the palms point toward the chest. Keep the fingers as straight as you can; bring the fingers together so that the pads of the fingers are touching.

Right index finger on top; left little finger on bottom, the thumb tips touch lightly. The mudra is held with the elbows at natural shoulder level so that the fingers point toward the body, at the level of the throat, above the heart. The shoulders should feel relaxed as you keep the elbows, forearms and hands parallel to the floor.

Mantra: Inhale deeply and chant four times on the breath in a steady tone: Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam Sat Naam Whaa-Hay Guroo.

Finish: Inhale deeply, stretch the arms over your head, shake your hands, exhale, and relax.

In the spring of 1978, Yogi Bhajan said that the Fire Kriya, "is a powerful, absolutely sacred, secret meditation. It will take you as far as you take it."
