Japji Sahib - The 23rd Pauri - Mantra for Elevation

This is where the 23rd pauri of Japji can help.  Yogi Bhajan said that reciting it 11 times a day as a mantra for elevation will"dispel darkness and elevate the self".

saalaahee saalaahi aytee surat na paa-ee-aa
The praisers sing God's praises, But they have no power to hear.
The rivers and streams flow into the ocean And lose themselves in its vastness.

nadee-aa atai vaah pavahi samund na jaanee-ahi
Even kings, who own oceans, And mountains and treasure, Are not equal to an ant, Which forgets not its Maker.

samun saah sultaan girhaa saytee maal dhan
Even kings and emperors, with mountains of property and oceans of wealth -

keerhee tul na hovnee jay tis manhu na veesrahi
These are not even equal to an ant, who does not forget God.
